Hypnotherapy for Weight Loss and Binge Eating
It was never about the food. With advanced hypnosis, I help you find out what it really is, and change it at the root. I work with clients anywhere in the world over Zoom.
Is this you?
You can't stop at one. An open packet is an empty packet.
You diet for a few days, then the wheels come off and you go on a bender.
You snack when nobody's looking, and hide the wrappers.
You can't say no, even when you're not hungry.
You start again every Monday.
You think, "I just can't stop eating sweets," or, "I struggle with my weight," and you've no idea why.
Whatever you call it, comfort eating, emotional eating or even sugar addiction …
If you're nodding, I want you to hear this: nothing is wrong with you. You're not greedy and you're not weak. Your mind learned somewhere that food is the answer, and it keeps reaching for it.
I know, because I've lived it
I'm not a therapist who learned about bingeing from a book. For years, food was my answer to everything. Happy, sad, angry, bored: I ate. My weight went up three stone and down three stone, again and again.
I tried everything. I was a Weight Watchers leader. I did Slimming World, shakes, Atkins, 1,000 calories a day, the cabbage soup diet, slimming pills, even a gastric balloon that cost me £6,000. I studied a foundation degree in Advanced Clinical Weight Loss and Addictive Eating. None of it touched the real problem, because the problem was never the food. It was my mind: the rules I'd made, and the things that had become my safety.
When someone told me, "Just eat normally," I wanted to scream. If I could have, I would have. You wouldn't tell someone who struggles with alcohol to "just drink normally". With food it's even harder, because you have to eat three times a day.
Why diets, and even injections, don't change why you eat
A diet changes what's on your plate. It doesn't change why you reach for food when you're not hungry. And every time you repeat a behaviour, you strengthen it. That's why the wheel keeps turning: diet, crack, binge, guilt, diet again.
Weight-loss injections can quiet the hunger for a while. But I'm seeing more and more people who are still eating for comfort while they're on them, because the habit and the feelings underneath haven't changed. In January 2026, University of Oxford researchers reported in the British Medical Journal that, on average, people regained the weight within about 18 months of stopping. If you're using injections, keep working with your prescriber. What I do is the part an injection can't: change why you use food to cope. Read my full thoughts on weight-loss injections.
With advanced hypnosis, we go back to where the pattern started: the moment your mind decided food meant comfort, company, safety or love. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Then we rewire it.
How I work with you
I don't follow a standard script or a one-size process. I get to know you first. Then I use what will change you: advanced clinical hypnotherapy, RTT, NLP, inner-child work and coaching. Every recording I make for you is written by me, for you.
Why I work on Zoom (and why it works better)
Lots of people think hypnosis has to be face to face. That's old school. I train therapists all over the world, and I always teach them to use Zoom, because I'm all about results.
Your brain is wired for survival, so it's always on alert. Hypnosis isn't about putting you to sleep. It's about letting that alert part of you switch off, so you're deeply relaxed but still aware. Now imagine lying in a stranger's office, with someone you don't know. Part of your mind stays on guard. Imagine instead lying on your own bed, somewhere safe, where nobody will disturb you. Your mind can let go completely.
I used to have an office. In my experience, the results I get on Zoom are even better, and my Google reviews speak for themselves.
And if anyone has ever told you that you "can't be hypnotised", I don't believe it. You drift in and out of a hypnotic state twice a day: in those few moments when you're waking up and not quite awake, and in the last few seconds before you fall asleep. Those are the moments your mind is most open to change.
What my clients tell me
These are real clients, from my Google reviews:
One client had comfort eaten for about 30 years. She lost 16kg in 7 weeks, and tells me her cravings flipped from junk food to strawberries, courgettes and fish.
One client had tried hypnosis before and was sure it wouldn't work. She tells me her chocolate binges stopped within days of the session.
One client thought she'd beaten bingeing, until a few hard years brought it back. After working together, she tells me she's quit for good.
Everyone is different. What I can promise is that I'll find what's really going on.
How we work together
Your advanced hypnosis session: £425
For many people, this one session is enough. It depends on your own journey. It includes:
A full consultation: a proper look at your behaviour, your patterns and what you really need.
A full morning of therapy under advanced hypnosis on Zoom, to find where it started and change it.
A bespoke recording, written just for you, to listen to for 21 days to embed the changes.
If you need more support
Sometimes food is tangled up with other things, like anxiety, people pleasing, perfectionism or other addictive habits. For those clients, I build a programme of sessions and coaching around them. I don't guess. Once I understand what's going on for you, I'll recommend exactly what you need, and why. The choice is always yours.
Not sure what's right for you? Send me a message and tell me what's going on. I'll reply personally, and we can talk about what will help you most.
Frequently asked questions
Does hypnosis for weight loss really work?
In my experience, hypnosis for weight loss works when it gets to why you eat, not just what you eat. If you've been searching for how to stop comfort eating, this is the missing piece: the feeling underneath the food. Change that, and the eating changes with it.
In my experience of working with clients, hypnotherapy works best when it changes why you eat, not just what you eat. That's why I work on the root cause, not willpower.
Is it the same as gastric band hypnosis?
It goes much further. In the session, I do teach your mind that your stomach is the size of your fist, so you feel full sooner on less. But on its own, that's not enough. I also change the feelings, beliefs and habits that drive the eating, because that's what keeps the weight coming back.
I'm on weight-loss injections. Can you still help?
Yes. Keep working with your prescriber. Injections can quiet the hunger, but they don't change why you use food to cope. That's the part I work on, so the habit doesn't come roaring back.
How many sessions will I need?
Some people just want to break one habit, and one deep session may be enough. If bingeing is tied up with anxiety, people pleasing or perfectionism, a longer programme gives you time for lasting change. We'll talk it through first.
Will I be in control?
Yes, completely. Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed, focused state. You hear everything, and you can't be made to do anything you don't want to.
Does hypnotherapy work over Zoom?
Yes, and in my experience it works even better. Your mind relaxes far more deeply in your own safe space than in a stranger's office. I work with clients all over the world.
What if I've been told I can't be hypnotised?
I don't believe anyone can't be hypnotised. You pass through that state every day, as you wake up and as you fall asleep. Often it's more about the approach than the person.
I've tried hypnosis before and it didn't work. Will this be different?
Lots of my clients had tried hypnosis, counselling or therapy before. I don't use a standard script. Everything I do is built around you and what's really underneath.
What if I have an eating disorder diagnosis?
If you're working with a doctor or an eating disorder service, keep following their advice. Tell me about it when you message, and we can talk about whether working together is right for you now.
